Royal V76(PS) is one of the high performance bulls of the sale. With a strong influence of Jackaroo (pictured below) on both sides of his pedigree, the power of Royal and an added fertility hit from Empire on his dam’s side, V76 of- fers a blend of genetics to fit all breeding programs. His weight EBVs are backed up by the fact that he ranked in the heaviest ten bulls in his mobs from 400 through to 600 days. He will be one of the heaviest bulls come sale day. Only a small number of years ago a Days to Calving EBV that this bull has looked like being top of the tree. Through our selection, it is now close to average in our herd but note that it is top ten percent in the Santa Ger- trudis breed. The blending of genetics via special animals like Boronia B63 (-25.3 days), through her sons and grandsons like Em- pire, Maverick and Hastings has made this possible. Ultimately, our aim is to breed animals that retain this extreme fertility but excel for all other traits. This bull is a good example of where our herd is headed on the perfor- mance front.
